Spiders belong to the order Araneae. The Australian Red Back has been reported
in New Zealand. The Red Back is venemous and its bite can be fatal. The White Tailed spider
is common in New Zealand and its bite has been reported to cause local pain,
a red mark, local swelling and itchiness; very occasionally nausea, vomiting, malaise
and/ or headaches. Ulcers and necrosis have been attributed to their bites.
